I watched the first quarter and he looked like shit. Bunch of turnovers, bad shot selection with expected results, missed the end, but he must have gotten it going as he shot almost 50% again with a ton of points and dishes. I wonder if he’s just in better shape than other guys or more cerebral that he makes better adjustments in the second half.

From 2008 through 2011 the Rays have fielded 94 different players. This group has combined for 182.25 WAR or nearly 2 WAR* per player. The Rays have had 23 home grown players step up and they have combined for 95 WAR (slightly more than half) which works out to a little over 4 WAR per player.
The Rays have acquired 71 players over this time that have combined for 87.2 WAR or around 1.25 WAR per player.
